SEASON #1-This was definitely the experimental season for the producers and crew. The season stuck strictly to R.L. Stine's books. The adaptions were strict as well, not being as daring and straying from the storylines as much as later seasons. Considered by many to be the best season.

SEASON #2-By this time, the producers had adapted more to their work. They added some of their own plot points to various adaptions, causing some to be extremely good, and some to be extremely bad. This was also the season that had the most episodes. They adapted one story from the Special Edition Stories, "Don't Wake Mummy". This tactic will become a trend in the next season. Once again, a favorite season of many.

SEASON #3-At this point, many hardcore fans will say that the series took a bit of a downhill turning point. The adaptions were very altered in this season. Some consider a few of the adaptions in this season to ruin the original stories, the two most-mentioned being "A Shocker on Shock Street" and "My Best Friend is Invisible". However, what this season did give is is the superior theme song, which shouldn't have been altered for Season #4. Also gave us our first Goosebumps 2000 adaption in the form of "Bride of the Living Dummy". Despite its flaws, hardcore fans enjoy it just as much as the rest of the others.

SEASON #4-Sadly, the show's last season. While it adapted none of the Special Edition series, it had no Made-For-TV episodes either. It was quite a short season, spanning a short eight episodes before FOX cancelled it due to a rapidly-declining popularity. While small, this season is very solid, with rather strict adaptions of Stine's books, which gave the series a feel of both Seasons #1 and 3 combined.

Skipper Mathews has an awesome comic book collection. His favorite is "The Masked Mutant", a series starring the most evil supervillain in the world. However, Skipper worries that the Masked Mutant may be real when he finds a strange building out-of-town, that looks just like the villain's headquarters...

+ According to Skipper, before he finds out the truth, he tells Wilson that the artist of "The Masked Mutant" is a man named Ernie Atwater, most likely a play on the name of the show's co-producer, Martha Atwater.

After many failed attempts to scare the most perfect girl in their class, Courtney, Eddie and Hat cook up a new plan when they hear that Courtney believes in the Mud Monsters of Muddy Creek, one of their towns urban legends. However, Eddie and Hat will be scared as well, when they learn the mud monsters actually exist...

+ In the book that this episode is based on, Eddie is the main star. However, in the credits, which usually signifies the importance of the character to the story, Courtney and Hat are listed before Eddie, making it seem as if they were the main characters.

After losing their baseball to Major McCall, the grumpy old war veteran next door, Joe and Mindy Burton's father comes home, bringing with him two more lawn ornaments, this time gnomes. However, Major McCall's prized yard is getting ruined each night, and Joe is framed for it when he goes out to investigate, and finds that the lawn gnomes are real...

Jerry and Terri are visiting their cousins, Brad and Agatha. While exploring down by the beach, they discover an old cave high above the rocky ledges. When they meet the local kids, Sam and Lousia, they are told the cave is haunting. Now, Jerry and Terri don't scare easily, but after strange paranormal occurences, such as a light shining from the cave at night, and gravestones of the town's residents, Jerry and Terri begin to wonder if not only the cave - but the WHOLE TOWN - is haunted...

Hannah Fairchild is writing a letter to her friend at camp, Janey, when she hears a mysterious voice calling her name. Over the next few days, this voice haunts her everywhere she goes, while she trys to acquaint herself with her new neighbor, Danny. However, strange, nearly paranormal, things happen when Danny is around, and Hannah worries that Danny is a ghost...

While Hannah notices increasingly weird things happening when she is around Danny, she is quickly filled to the brim with more questions when she finds out that she is the dead one in the neighborhood. The fire that she apparently dreamt was real, and it burned down her house, and killed her family. She now has to find the answers to these questions. Why is Danny the only one who can see her? What does the shadow figure want with Danny? And what does the shadow figure have to do with Danny's supposedly imminent death?
